Tundra grasshopper插件实现了开源噪声库 - Libnoise，所有命名都继承自这个库，因此Libnoise的文档也可以用于Tundra。
这个插件中的噪声函数被称为模块，它代表由Tundra组件传递的变量类型。此外，模块也是底层Libnoise库使用的类型。
使用生成的噪声过程有两个基本方法，通过评估3D点使用GetValue组件或使用NoiseBitmap组件生成位图。除此之外，还可以通过Gradient和Curl组件将噪声场转换为grasshopper草蜢插件的向量场类型。
