Optimus是一款新型的元启发式优化插件，适用于Grasshopper。第一个版本实现了自适应差分进化与变异策略集合（jEDE）。当自适应方法更新交叉和变异率时，变异策略集合使用三种操作符来寻找最优结果。主要目的是在概念设计阶段的表演性计算架构框架中支持设计决策。

该插件使用标准测试问题、IEEE CEC 2005提出的一些测试问题和一个设计优化问题（所有这些都可以在下面的.gh文件中找到）进行实验。结果表明Optimus（jEDE）在21个问题中的20个问题上比Food4Rhino中的一些单目标优化算法找到更好的解决方案。该工具的目标受众是参数化设计建模的频繁用户（例如，建筑师、工程师和设计师）。
