EvoMass是一个集成工具，用于敏捷的性能基础建筑体量设计生成、优化和探索，特别适用于基于优化的设计探索。基于优化的设计探索旨在利用优化作为信息提取的手段，实现性能意识/性能指导的设计综合过程，而不是仅仅寻找设计解决方案。因此，优化结果更像是设计信息的“载体”，揭示与建筑性能相关的建筑含义，而不是对设计问题的直接回答。因此，EvoMass的目标不是制作引人注目或“未来主义/参数化”的设计，而是通过正交建筑体量设计提供易于理解的设计信息（因此生成的设计可能看起来简单而不失精致）。
