About the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Ministry's Professional Qualification Registration Center

The Professional Qualification Registration Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development was established in April 1996, approved by the Office of the Central Committee for Institutional Establishment and officially established in December 1996. It is a directly affiliated institution of the Ministry of Construction.

With 10 internal departments, including the Office, Planning and Finance Department, Examination Department, Registration Department, Education and International Liaison Department, Comprehensive Research and Coordination Department, Urban Planner Registration Management Office, Builder Office, and Network and Information Department, it operates under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. It serves as the executive body for the National Registration Architect Management Committee and the National Survey and Design Registered Engineer Management Committee. The center is primarily responsible for the examination, registration, continuing education, and international exchanges of registered architects and survey and design registered engineers, coordinating and guiding various localities and professional committees in carrying out professional qualification related work.

Commissioned by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, it also undertakes the examination and registration work for builders, the examination work for registered urban and rural planners, the registration work for registered supervising engineers, the vocational skills appraisal work in the housing and urban-rural construction industry, and the professional subject examination and preliminary review work for intermediate registered safety engineers in the construction safety profession.
