SPIDER插件助力城市设计师分析和理解多样化的用户行为，同时基于可量化数据生成基本框架。SPIDER探索人工智能与人类智能之间的交汇点，寻找二者之间的平衡工作流程。该工具分为设计过程的三个阶段：分析、生成、可视化。分析部分处理基于人类行为的环境数据相关性，如视野、用户移动、辐射和风向移动。同时，它还处理将不同来源的可用数据转换为类似格式，以实现无缝工作流程。生成部分则根据可用数据创建规则，并为设计师提供基本框架以供工作。
